Vietnam Television Had An Interview With Ms. Tieu Yen Trinh About Head-hunting Jobs

Ms. Tieu Yen Trinh – General Director of Talentnet Corporation – participated in a discussion with Vietnam Television about “head-hunting” in the Vietnam labor market on Monday 14th January 2008. The 30 minute conversation, which is available in the Y5 café program of VTV2, was broadcast live nationwide.

As an expert with 12 years in executive search and human resource consulting, Tieu Yen Trinh shared practical information and knowledge, as well as the ups and downs of this function, to give the audience an overview of the role of a “head hunter”. In her view, rather than being seen as just as a job of hunting for people, a “head-hunter” should be considered as a consultant. The “head-hunter” should have a deep grasp of clients and their business, understand candidates’ feelings and their expectations and also give advice so that the two parties are in win-win position. The human resource consultant has to play 3 roles: a partner of clients, a friend of candidates and a consultant for both clients and candidates.

Through this interesting and friendly conversation, Ms. Yen Trinh provided some thought-provoking insights and perspectives about “head-hunting jobs”. This is a role with considerable potential job in the Vietnam market.
