RESPONSIBILITIES:
Mandatory skills:
- Experience in Azure cloud (Mandatory) and add on cloud (AWS/GCP/Alibaba) as optional.
- DB migration architect experience (SQL (mandatory), MYSQL, Postgres SQL, Cassendra(optional)), different DB migration methods and Tools.
Primary skills:
- Understanding customer DB SQL server landscape
- Configuring SQL Server HA/DR (FCI, AG) in Azure with multiple subnets and multiple regions, Availability set
- Configuring and Administering Security/Policies/Resource Governing/Azure Key Vault
- Migrating SQL Server from On-Premises to Azure Cloud using DMA, DMS, Azure Data Studio, Log shipping, Backup & restore and various other migration methods.
- Knowledge /Experience on other DBs like MY SQL, Casandra, Mongo DB and OSS DB (Min. 2)
- Work with Internal stakeholders, Customer stakeholders and Project Managers to understand the migration requirements and provide solutions accordingly.
- Driving the cloud Solutioning Azure activities for large complex migration
- Installing and configuring SQL Server all the version (200x to 2022)
- Hands on experience on Windows and SQL servers' issues and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge on Azure cloud and Landing Zone
